Twitter Paid Whistle-Blower $7 Million for Silence, Lawyer Says

Twitter Inc. paid an informant who brought up issues about functional issues inside the web-based entertainment stage $7 million to get his quiet, as per a legal counselor for Elon Musk

The installment was referenced in passing at a Sept. 6 hearing in the claim between Twitter and Musk over his endeavors to drop a $44 billion acquisition of the organization

"They're paying the person $7 million and ensuring he's tranquil," Musk lawyer Alex Spiro said at the conference

Twitter delegates Thursday declined to remark about the installment to Zatko, the organization's previous head of safety

Spiro guarded Zatko by saying the informant didn't simply take his cash and abandon his issues with Twitter

Zatko is booked to affirm before a Senate council one week from now and has been summoned to affirm in the Twitter claim, too

"The issue is that they paid him $7 million," Spiro told the adjudicator. "That's what the issue is on the off chance that he truly needed cash, why he's actually doing this in the event that he doesn't need equity too."
