Montas gets shoulder injection

Montas receives a shoulder injection but might not begin the playoffs.

After receiving a second cortisone shot in his sore right shoulder, Yankees pitcher Frankie Montas was placed on the disabled list on Tuesday

After Friday's start in Milwaukee, Montas spoke to the Yankees about the shoulder injury.

Montas received the shot on Monday after being given a diagnosis of shoulder irritation.

Tuesday, Montas stated, "I'm going to wait a couple days to start playing catch and then go from there."

Luis Severino, a right-hander, will start against Pittsburgh on Wednesday.
