Mike Evans suspended

Why the NFL suspended Bucs WR for one game for fighting Marshon Lattimore

Mike Evans, a receiver with the Buccaneers, stated that he didn't anticipate receiving a suspension from the NFL following his ejection from Sunday's Week 2 game against the Saints.

Evans' one-game, no-pay suspension from the NFL was issued on Monday as a result of his behaviour during the Buccaneers-Saints game.

Due to Evans' "violations of unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike behaviour rules" during the Saints vs. Buccaneers game, the NFL suspended the veteran receiver.

Evans was given a one-game suspension by the NFL official, who wrote in a letter that his behaviour was "aggressive" and "unprofessional."

Nevertheless, it doesn't seem like Lattimore had a hit that was as damaging as Evans'.
