Lindor's slam caps comeback

MILWAUKEE (AP) Francisco Lindor completed an inspiring comeback and ensured that the New York Mets, who are headed to the postseason, kept a slim lead in the NL East.

The Mets put up this rally the night after beating Milwaukee 7-2 to secure their first postseason berth since 2016.

Every game is highly crucial, according to Lindor. "We're fighting." That is not the end goal, as we stated yesterday.

The Mets triumphed with just four hits when Pete Alonso hit his second three-run home run in as many nights.

This is enjoyable, said Alonso. This is what everyone is looking forward to. This kind of race is what you train for during the offseason.

Milwaukee was up 4-0 with one out in the sixth inning after retiring 14 straight hitters.
