Horses Waive WR Brandon Johnson from IR After Injury Settlement

Johnson suffered a high-ankle sprain in the preseason finale

The rookie wide receiver was waived Tuesday from the Denver Broncos' injured reserve list with an injury settlement

Undrafted out of UCF, Johnson was made a beeline for a spot on Denver's 53-man list following a great instructional course and preseason

"Brandon has done a truly great job," Broncos lead trainer Nathaniel Hackett said on Aug. 8

His chance was evened out by a high-lower leg sprain — a multi-game injury — experienced on the principal hostile snap of the Broncos' preseason-closer versus Minnesota

The club moved Johnson, 24, to IR in the midst of conclusive list slices while selecting to hold individual UDFA WR Jalen Virgil on the ordinary season crew

"Brandon was only an expert the moment he strolled into the entryway," Broncos senior supervisor George Paton said on Aug. 30
