A supporter was detained after reportedly assaulting Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam with a plastic water bottle.
Jeffrey Miller, 51, of Rocky River, was detained by Cleveland police on Tuesday on charges of assault, disorderly conduct, and refusal to cooperate.
Haslam halted and indicated the direction the bottle was coming from.
Miller informed police "it never hit the field" as he was being escorted to a holding area inside the stadium after being apprehended. Later, he was arrested and taken to the Cuyahoga County jail.
The Browns were winning 30-17 with 1:55 left before giving up 14 points in a minute and suffering one of the worst losses in team history
