Andrew Benintendi Eyes Postseason Return

A broken right hamate bone is keeping Benintendi out of action.

On September 2, while swinging, the outfielder fractured his right hamate bone and has been sidelined ever since.

Benintendi indicated on Thursday that his return would likely occur in the postseason based on the numbers and the number of days.

On July 27, the Yankees acquired Benintendi from the Royals in a deal with the aim of replacing the failing Joey Gallo.

If Benintendi, who is 28 years old, is unable to return in time for the start of the postseason

In order to regain his timing at the plate, Benintendi stated he was unconcerned about running out of days.
